Smart home into the "meta-universe" form, 5 major industry pain points to be solved!

Smart home show in 2022 will be held in Shanghai New International Expo Center from March 17 to 20, 2022. It provides a precious opportunity for domestic and foreign enterprises of home appliances and consumer electronics to communicate with each other on the supply side and the demand side. It is a platform to show innovation results to consumers and capture their needs and pain points.

The meta-universe is hailed as the wave of the next digital era. As the second half of the mobile Internet, the Mobile Internet of Things realizes greater value and service through device data acquisition and exchange, and is also an important way of human-computer interaction in the future. As an important link in the consumer-level Internet of Things, the sales revenue of China's smart home industry exceeded 160 billion yuan in the first half of 2021, with a year-on-year growth of 25%.

Smart home is not a new concept, but a new blue ocean. As 5G and IoT technologies continue to empower the smart home market, the smart home industry with non-inductive, active whole-house intelligent solutions as the core will usher in explosive growth in the next 10 years.

However, most of the products and systems on the market can not fully solve the contradiction between the product itself and the market demand. At this stage, smart home brands still have many pain points in terms of products, supply chain, channels and customer demand. Only when a company one by one to solve the above problems, in order to really do a good smart home brand.

At present, there are five major pain points in the smart home industry that have not been completely solved:

Pain point 1: Definition deviation, pseudo-intelligence and light intelligence disrupt the market.

In the era of smart home 1.0 and 2.0, more than 7000 so-called smart home brands emerged in China, 98% of the product form is one-way control type of intelligent single products, these single product interface standards are different, data scattered and isolated, unable to achieve interconnection, and serious product homogeneity. More importantly, without its own cloud technology, device security and user data privacy can not be guaranteed.

Pain point 2: The upstream and downstream of the supply chain is scattered, and there is no perfect quality inspection and quality control system.

At present, the smart home industry lacks leaders who are leading and responsible for promoting the development of smart home industry standards, and smart home devices produced by different manufacturers do not have unified Internet of Things protocol standards, and there are numerous interface barriers, so they cannot freely access devices of different brands. More importantly, the upstream cloud industry, such as chips and modules, and the downstream equipment industry, such as hardware products, are dispersed, which cannot form a perfect quality inspection and quality control system, resulting in prominent quality and failure problems of smart home.

Pain point 3: Frequent data privacy leaks and high security risks.

In order to achieve more convenience, the security of smart home is always ignored. According to a survey by ADT, 93% of smart home users are concerned about companies publishing or otherwise using private data. In fact, users do face two problems when using smart homes: unauthorized collection of user data within the enterprise, and the data is handed over or sold to other enterprises; Foreign intruders can view and store users' private data by illegal means, including users' personal information, location and contact information. It can also take control of all devices on a home network.

Pain point 4: There is no favorable support for national channel coverage, and after-sales service is almost blank.

Focus on nearly 10 years of intelligent household market, almost no intelligent household manufacturers in the line of large-scale laid their own after-sales service network, not only the interests of consumers can not be guaranteed, still let numerous dealers lose investment confidence to the industry.

Pain point 5: The needs of users in different industries cannot be met in one stop.

As the hotel, home decoration and real estate industries with the most extensive application scenarios of smart home, the SPU/SKU level in each scenario is large, but there is no professional tool to assist management and operation, which makes it difficult to meet the customized services of real estate and hotel business characteristics and needs, and the supporting business system cannot be connected.

Only relying on the profound technical background and improve the system of ecological supply chain, customer service, build intelligent household brand high public praise, for the vast number of consumers to depict blueprint of life wisdom, can keep for the entire industry to provide a new development direction of enterprise, to lead the intelligent household industry in the future, to the good momentum to make intelligent household industry vigorously, let's hope.

Smart home show in 2022 adhering to the purpose of bold innovation and excellence, to promote the development of the industry, the exhibition will present more fresh and new highlights, gather global wisdom technology, create a better life.
